Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the Matele Foundation and how you can be part of our work.

What is the Matele Foundation?
The Matele Foundation is a youth-development organisation based in Sachangwan, Molo Sub-County, Nakuru County, Kenya. We empower young people through five Pathways to Potential: mentorship & leadership, education & career, health & wellbeing, economic empowerment, and community & family engagement.
Who was Keith Matele?
Keith Matele was a young person of our own generation whose vision for community transformation inspired the founding of the Foundation. We lost him too soon, and his memory is a large part of why our work centres on young people. We honour him by carrying that vision forward — building programmes, partnerships, and opportunities that serve the young people and communities he cared about. May he rest in peace.
